Totnes to Dartmouth camping expedition by canoe
Join us for a tranquil canoe expedition from Totnes to Dartmouth, camping in a remote wild campsite on the riverbank. Your journey starts in the evening as the tide slips away from the old warf in Totnes as we paddle a short distance downstream to our campsite – a field with composting toilet facilities right on the water’s edge. Over the open fire that night you will enjoy food cooked in a dutch oven over the fire, whilst watching the stars. In the morning we continue downstream once more, pausing briefly for an ice cream at Stoke Gabriel then following the river as it widens and opens towards Dartmouth and our finish point at Kingswear.
We will provide:
Canoes and all necessary paddling equipment. A drum or drybag to keep your kit safe. We also provide a tent for the night and food for the evening meal and breakfast, as well as a friendly qualified instructor. In addition we will shuttle drivers between your car and the finish point.
You need to bring:
A change of clothes, sleeping bag and mat.
Cost: £150 per person
